Tyler, The Creator Festival Camp Flog Gnaw Not Returning For 2022
Tyler, the Creator-hosted music festival Camp Flog Gnaw will not be held in 2022, instead set to return next year.
Call Me If You Get Lost rapper-producer Tyler, the Creator is hitting pause on his long-celebrated music festival Camp Flog Gnaw. A report from Billboard was published on Monday (October 3), explaining that Camp Flog Gnaw would be returning in 2023. The Los Angeles-based festival has boasted big acts including Snoop Dogg, A$AP Rocky, Lana Del Rey, Solange, FKA Twigs, The Internet, Jhene Aiko, Summer Walker, H.E.R., the late Mac Miller and more during the last decade.
The latest Camp Flog Gnaw was held in 2019 at Dodger Stadium, with performances from 21 Savage, Earl Sweatshirt, Willow, YG and the late Juice WRLD. Drake also made a surprise appearance at the festival, his set being cut short by boos from crowd members.
“It’s really not that deep. Tyler toured all year and was busy with a number of projects,” Tyler’s manager Chris Clancy told Billboard. Reading the tea leaves and what’s happening with festivals coming out of the pandemic, we thought it would be best to come back next year.”
Earlier this year, Tyler embarked on the Call Me If You Get Lost Tour with Kali Uchis, Vince Staples and Teezo Touchdown. Midway through the tour – which ended in August – the 31-year-old artist won his second Best Rap Album Grammy for Call Me If You Get Lost.
Tyler will next have a guest-starring role on season six of Netflix animated sitcom Big Mouth, which premieres on October 28.
