Cardi B welcomes the new era of female rap with GloRilla in the music video for “Tomorrow 2,” where the duo takes over New York City.

Cardi B and GloRilla make a dynamic duo on new single “Tomorrow 2.” The song comes months after GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Woods, released her summertime breakthrough single “F.N.F.” Cardi and GloRilla also teased “Tomorrow 2” earlier this week, with Diesel Filmz-directed music video paying tribute to 1979 crime thriller The Warriors. Also appearing in the music video are GloRilla’s Memphis crew and Cardi’s younger sister Hennessy Carolina.

In a recent Essence profile, GloRilla spoke about becoming a new signee on Yo Gotti’s label Collective Music Group.

“I feel like other people, one, they don’t know the culture, like Memphis culture,” GloRilla said. “He most definitely was looking past just the “F.N.F.” record. He wanted me for me and my talent. Other people, they wanted the record.”

“Tomorrow 2” also marks Cardi’s fourth single of the year, following “No Love (Extended)” with Summer Walker and SZA, “Shake It” featuring Kay Flock, Dougie B and Bory300 and “Hot S***” featuring Ye and Lil Durk. Last week, Cardi was sentenced to 15 days of community service after pleading guilty for a 2018 strip club brawl, declining to take a plea deal.

“I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to,” said Cardi B in court.“These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now,” she added. “I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most — the music and my fans.”
