In the ’90s, Bad Boy Records and Death Row Records were feuding heavy after 2Pac alleged that The Notorious B.I.G. had him set up during a 1994 shooting at Quad Recording Studios in New York. Signing to Death Row Records on 1995, 2Pac and label co-founder initiated the East Coast vs. West Coast hip-hop rivalry that lasted until 2Pac was fatally in Las Vegas in September 1996 and The Notorious B.I.G. was killed in Los Angeles in March 1997.

One of the first artists signed to Death Row Records in the early-’90s, Snoop Dogg acquired Death Row Records in February of this year, nearly 25 years after leaving the roster for No Limit Records.

Mase last made headlines for clarifying his RichFish Records contract with Fivio Foreign, claiming that he put $50,000 towards the B.I.B.L.E. rapper’s career before he joined Columbia Records.
