On Thursday, Kendrick Lamar performed during the Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection show as a special tribute to Virgil Abloh.

Kendrick Lamar is a worldwide stepper. On Thursday, the rapper attended the Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection show where he also performed in tribute to Virgil Abloh. While seated next to Naomi Campbell and his pgLang co-founder Dave Free, Lamar rapped selections from his new album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, including “Savior,” “Rich Spirit,” and “Count Me Out” before ending with “N95.”

During the conclusion, Kendrick rapped “Long live Virgil” repeatedly as an honor to Abloh who was artistic director for Louis Vuitton before his death last November. Kendrick also wore a custom Fall/Winter 2022 Louis Vuitton piece from Abloh during the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, sharing the stage with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Anderson .Paak.

The Louis Vuitton show isn’t the first time Kendrick has brought Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers to the stage. On Monday (June 23), the multi-platinum rapper performed selections from his new album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers during day one of Spotify Beach at the Cannes Lions Festival in Cannes, France. The performance comes after the release of his Spotify mini-doc A Day in Accra, Ghana, where Kendrick embarked on his first trip to Ghana after dropping his newest album.

Kendrick makes his return to touring in July during The Big Steppers tour with support from fellow pgLang artists Baby Keem and Tanna Leone. Kendrick will also co-headline Rolling Loud Miami along with Ye and Future next month.
