The Bridge arrives exclusively on Spotify via Nas’ imprint and media company, Mass Appeal.

Nas and Miss Info are joining forces to tell the story of hip-hop’s creation with a new podcast.

Announced today via press release, The Bridge will be hosted by the Grammy-winning rapper and veteran rap journalist, The show will consist of a series of interviews with pioneers and torch-bearers, including Ice Cube, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Mary J. Blige, Cordae, Nas’ brother, Jabari “Jungle” Jones, and more, promising “to explore the ways in which hip hop influenced society”  as a preamble to hip-hop’s 50th anniversary (per an official description of the show.)

The first season, presented in partnership with the rapper’s imprint and media company, Mass Appeal, will land exclusively on Spotify later this month. A trailer for the series was released today alongside the announcement, previewing candid discussions with Cube, Jeff, and Cordae, along with Nas’ overjoyed reaction to finding out the NWA member make regular stops in Queensbridge for Jamaican food on his way to the airport.

“The celebration for @hiphop50 continues. Now on the other side of the interview table,” Nas wrote of the show on Instagram (see below.) “I can’t wait for folks to hear it. Not just cuz we got legends in the building sharing so many gems…but because you’ll see a personal side of Nas, the one his friends and family know,” Miss Info added on her own page (also below.)
