Jelani Farid Souare, better known as Ya Foye, is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, and mannequin born in 2002, in Montreal, CA. The rising artist has been displaying his vivid creativity and impressive skills as he released three brand new hits; “Louis Vuitton,” “In The Ghetto,” and “I Stay Focus.”  

Of  Canadian, Jamaican, South African, and Ivory Coast descent, Ya Foye’s multi-cultural heritage enriched his sound and vision since he began his musical journey.  At age 5, Souare and his mother moved to New York City, where he lived for 9 years. At 14, Farid moved back to Montreal. Souare began making music at age 15,  thanks to friends from his high school who introduced him to music. Music has always been a way to alleviate and relieve the stress he would suffer from, mainly due to his troubled childhood as well as being raised in many environments, never being able to settle down.

With “In The Ghetto” being an emotionally-rich single, “I Stay Focus,” a home to dreamy vocals, and “Louis Vuitton” a record displaying Ya Foye’s ever-evolving sound and spirit, the talented artist launches his career is style, allowing us to expect big things coming his way in the coming months.
