Social media can be a great tool for interaction, but in other situations, it’s been proven to create an extremely toxic environment. KXNG Crooked took to Twitter on Wednesday (December 30) opening up the forum asking his followers if they’ve ever been blocked by rappers and his mentions were flooded with all sorts of answers. Various stories and reasons as to why they were blocked featured the likes of Nicki Minaj, Kid Cudi, Chance The Rapper and more.

Some gave the artists a good reason to block them by coming for their head with a series of disses, jokes and memes while others were surprised to find themselves on the blocked list without ever really interacting with a said rapper.

“Nicki Minaj has me blocked on Instagram because a few years ago I made this meme,” one user said.

Another added, “Kid Cudi .. was so amped to tweet him after the MOTM3 and saw I was blocked. I think I gave him heavy shit years back when he released a rock type album. I’m a nobody to him anyways.”

One Twitter user said Lupe Fiasco blocked him after he didn’t agree with Lupe’s reactions to the Trayvon Martin verdict. In one of the most scrutinized cases of the 2010s, Martin, a 17-year-old walking home, was shot and killed by neighborhood watch coordinator George Zimmerman in Florida. He was acquitted of murder charges on grounds of self-defense.

“Lupe fiasco, he said some insensitive stuff about how black folk reacted to the Trayvon Martin verdict and I politely yolks him it was out of line,” he wrote. “Was blocked right after lol.”

When one fires away at rappers online, make sure to be ready to deal with the wrath of their diehard fan bases as well. Among other popular choices in the replies were Joe Budden, Benzino and Royce Da 5’9.
