BATON ROUGE, LA – YoungBoy Never Broke Again will be getting back a few of his possessions which were in the police’s hands for the past few months. According to WBRZ, a local judge ruled on Thursday (December 17) the Baton Rouge Police Department must return the $300,000 check, jewelry and $47,000 seized during YoungBoy’s September arrest.

YoungBoy, born Kentrell Gaulden, was one of 16 arrested in a Baton Rouge parking lot on September 28 for various drugs and weapons charges. Police responded to reports of individuals openly brandishing weapons and then searched vehicles on the property upon arrival. They ended up seizing handguns, rifles, drugs, $47,000 in cash, multiple pieces of jewelry and a $300,000 check made out to Gaulden.

Video surfaced of YoungBoy being detained on the scene of the nighttime video shoot. The Baton Rouge rapper’s charges included possession of a schedule 1 drug, distribution or manufacturing of a schedule 2 drug and distribution or manufacturing of a schedule 4 drug (Xanax or other substances lower in abuse potential).

Shortly after YoungBoy’s booking, his attorney James Manasseh issued a statement proclaiming his innocence.

“I received a call from family at 5 am saying he had been taken to parish prison,” he said. “I just learned he was charged related to carrying a firearm. He is innocent. Other had firearms. But he did not. Hopefully I will received the arrest affidavit this morning and trust that these charges will not be pursued. Just because someone is arrested, does not mean they are guilty of a crime.”

Now with the judge’s orders made official on Thursday (December 17), Baton Rouge police must return YoungBoy’s belongings to either him or his attorneys in a timely fashion.
