Big Boi and Killer Mike are joined by Big Rube and Cee-Lo Green on the remix.

On Friday, Dungeon Family veterans united yet again as Big Boi, Sleepy Brown, and Killer Mike dropped the Organized Noize remix of their single “We the Ones.” The track also features background vocals from Cee-Lo Green and spoken words from Big Rube. Stream the track below.

As expected, the track has that classic militant-yet-spiritual feel to it. In his verse, Big Boi addresses police brutality, his family’s military history, and white America’s confused response to resulting uprisings. Killer Mike touches on religion in the context of Black history.

The original “We the Ones” appeared on Organized Noize’s self-titled 2017 EP. It is unclear whether the remix will appear on Big Boi and Sleepy Brown’s upcoming Big Sleepover project.

Big Rube recently wrote the script for Morgan Freeman’s interludes on the new 21 Savage and Metro Boomin mixtape, Savage Mode 2. In the past few years, he’s contributed to albums for Offset of the Migos, Denzel Curry, Rapsody, and more.

“I read the copy and was like wow, there’s some wisdom in here,” Freeman recently said of Rube’s writing. “I think this is the way I think. It’s basically saying don’t suffer fools and when you want something go for that. If [Savage’s music] is a young people thing, then this is stuff they need to be aware of. So it’s a good thing to do.”

The Organized Noize remix of “We the Ones” is currently available on all digital streaming platforms.
