Russell Wilson shared a heartfelt Instagram tribute to his stepson Future on his 6th birthday. The post included a video of them both underwater in a pool, swimming toward the camera with smiles on their faces.
The Seattle Seahawk quarterback wrote in the caption, “You are my daily inspiration. My best friend…Full of Love, Joy, and Grace. I thank Jesus everyday for who you are & being able to lead & guide you. Your future is forever endless and I pray you swim into every opportunity and obstacle in life with this much Love and Enthusiasm. Happy 6th Birthday Future! Daddy loves you! @ciara.”
Of course, little Future is the child of Wilson’s wife Ciara and her ex-fiancé Future. The Freebandz boss tweeted his son a birthday greeting on Tuesday (May 19) as well, writing “Happy Birthday FUTURE. Love u FOREVER twin.”

For some reason, Twitter is highly invested in the love Wilson has for his stepson and wasted no time presenting various opinions on the matter. While most people were highly supportive of Wilson’s gesture, others took it as an opportunity to drag Future’s biological father.
