The Verzuz Instagram Live battles are getting increasingly more popular. N.O.R.E. Claims Eminem Will Take On DMX In Next ‘Verzuz’ Battle On Saturday (May 16), Ludacris and Nelly went head-to-head with an arsenal of hits and now, it looks like the stage is being set for the next one.

According to an Instagram post from N.O.R.E., Verzuz co-founder Swizz Beatz says he spoke to Eminem who is down to battle DMX. Beatz apparently called X to let him know.

“This moment is so Legend !!!” Norega captioned a post of himself playing Jenga with X. “3 minutes before this @therealswizzz CALLS X and says Eminem is down for that smoke and X SAY HE CAN GET BUT I STILL WANT JAY HAHA SO CLASSIC BEHIND THE SCENES SHIT SORRY IF I WASNT POST TO SAY NOTHING but I had to DMX VS SLIM SHADY??? What y’all think??? I’m riding wit the DOG!!!”

Although nothing official has been announced by Swizz or fellow Verzuz co-founder Timbaland, a Shady versus X battle would likely reel in a record number of viewers. Previous battles have done incredible numbers.

DMX Calls Out JAY-Z For Verzuz Instagram Battle

The Erykah Badu versus Jill Scott battle earlier this month, which marked the first Verzuz event between two women, drew in roughly 700,000 simultaneous viewers. Meanwhile, the RZA versus DJ Premier battle attracted over 90,000 viewers within two minutes of going live.

And although Babyface and Teddy Riley’s first Verzuz battle was marred by technical difficulties, their second attempt proved to be a success. In addition to Em versus X, other potential battles being thrown around are Snoop Dogg or X versus JAY-Z and a piano battle between John Legend and Alicia Keys.
