Kid Cudi earned the first No. 1 song of his career with help of Travis Scott. The duo’s single “The Scotts” debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated May 9, 2020.

“The Scotts” racked up 42.2 million U.S. streams and sold 67,000 digital downloads in its first week, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Cudi and Scott’s collaboration dethroned The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” which has been dominating the Hot 100 for much of the year. Weeknd’s popular cut slipped to No. 2 as it approaches its 25th week on the chart later this month.
