6ix9ine is being sued by the victims of an April 2018 robbery that he orchestrated and filmed – but he’s ready to fight.

On Tuesday (December 22), TMZ reported that publicists Seketha Wonzer and Kevin Dozier filed suit against the polarizing rapper for his part in the incident outside of a New York City studio, which they also say was a case of mistaken identity.

Talking to TMZ, 6ix9ine’s attorney Lance Lazzaro promised that he and his client “will defend this lawsuit vigorously.”

According to the docs, Wonzer and Dozier were collectively robbed of a backpack that contained six hard drives with “12 years of client information,” shoes, a camera, $1500 in cash and a gold chain, while 6ix9ine filmed the ordeal from a nearby SUV and later posted it on social media.

As far as the mistaken identity, their attorney Joe Tacopina explained 6ix9ine believed they were associated with Rap-A-Lot Records.

“Wonzer believes that she was a target of the armed robbery because she is from Texas, Rap-A-Lot Records has strong ties to Texas, and they have both contributed to the same community charitable events in the past,” Tacopina said.

During his racketeering trial, 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to the robbery, among other things, as part of his plea deal.

“I and other members robbed a rival of Nine Trey in Manhattan,” he said during his guilty plea. “I knew that another member of Nine Trey had brandished a gun.”

6ix9ine is the only one named in the suit, and they’re seeking compensatory and punitive damages in an unspecified amount for what they say was RICO violations, assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
