Following the release of his new album, 2 Chainz has teamed up with YouTube for a new series as part of their #YouTubeBlackVoices Fund initiative.

The Money Maker Fund consists of five episodes airing from Monday (December 14) through Friday (December 18), and features HBCU students and alumni pitching their business ideas to 2 Chainz, who put $55,000 into the best ones. In a statement, he explained why the show was important to him.

“With this year being more than challenging to all of us, I am inspired by these courageous students who are still pushing through chasing their dreams and goals,” he said. “The idea behind the Money Maker Fund is simply to add more fuel to the already burning fire of ambition they showcase.”

After a few pushbacks, 2 Chainz dropped his So Help Me God! album in November. The 15-track project included features from Kanye West, Lil Uzi Vert, Chief Keef, Mulatto, Lil Wayne, YoungBoy Never Broke Again and more, and debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200.

During a conversation with Ebro Darden about the album on Beats1, Chainz revealed there was even more from Kanye on “Feel A Way,” but he chose to cut a part of his verse because Ye referenced the 2020 election.

“This record was called ‘Wavy’ at first, and we changed it to ‘Feel A Way,’” he said. “It was way more than that on the record. I trimmed the record, because I knew it was coming out after the election and he was saying some stuff that pertained to that. And there was some other stuff like, this is my song. I told him, I don’t know what else I can say.”
