After barely a day of deliberations, the jury in the YNW Melly double murder trial declared they were deadlocked.
The judge agreed and called a mistrial.
Melly will almost certainly be tried again for killing his YNW crewmates Juvy and Sakchaser.
But he may have a good chance of ultimately beating the charges.
According to Melly’s mom, nine of the 12 jurors wanted to acquit her son.
We have no idea if that’s true. If it is, the prosecution may have some work to do.
