The Spice Girls, made up Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel C, have been the stuff legend since they launched on the pop scene in 1996 with their hit single Wannabe.

Now as the fabulous five look set to return to the recording studio for some new music, a lot people are reminiscing about the good old days and remembering their favourite Spice Girls tracks.

One song that has been mentioned a lot is Spice Up Your Life, but there’s a popular lyric in that song which the majority us have all been singing wrong for years!

Towards the end the uplifting single, the girls shout what most people think is “I see ya, hold tight!”

However, the actual lyric is “Hai, si, ja! Hold tight”.

Showing that the Spice Girls are quality linguists, the words hai, si and ja are Japanese, Spanish and German respectively, for the English word yes.

So essentially, they are singing “Yes, yes, yes, hold tight!”

The Spice Girls’ members were seen arriving at Geri Horner’s house alongside the band’s manager Simon Fuller, after news broke on Friday morning that all the original band – including Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton – are apparently reforming.

While some fans were worried that David Beckham’s wife wasn’t keen on a reunion the fashion designer put everyone at ease by sharing an image her and the group together.

Victoria captioned the picture: “Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! Exciting x,” hinting that the famous five are set to embark on a new project.
