Twista is launching a gun camp to teach firearm safety amid these wild times.

The legendary Chicago MC opened enrollment on Wednesday morning (August 5) for sessions in his hometown. For $499, interested parties will work with Twista, law enforcement specialist Joe Joe Stagen and Creative Scott and receive a concealed carry certification, lunch, fingerprints and the opportunity to hear new music from the “Overnight Celebrity” rapper.

“I’m proud to announce my newest venture, with everything going on in the world I felt the need to properly train and educate those on having a firearm for safety,” Twista said on Instagram. “For a limited time I will be training those who really want to protect there family the right way.”

Twista spoke to HipHopDX on the heels of the release of his Lifetime project in February, a 5-track EP created with producers and songwriters at Red Bull Songs over a three-day studio session. He promised a new album later in 2020, but with the pandemic, it’s possible his plans have changed.

“Later down this year, after I promote Lifetime and have a ball with it and make as much money with it as we all can [laughs], then I’m gonna go from there and go to a different solo project, something with a little more length on it, something that I’ll be writing most of but definitely, after the Lifetime experience, I will be using these [Red Bull] artists to work on a future project,” he said. “So, I’m looking forward to that project too, later this year.”

In the meantime, revisit the Lifetime EP below.
