Houston, TX – Travis Scott didn’t get a chance to have Astroworld in his hometown of Houston this year but the “Sicko Mode” rapper found a way to give back for the holidays.
Scott along with his mother, Wanda Webster and twin siblings Jordan and Joshua Webster partnered with Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner for the inaugural Cactus Jack Foundation Turkey Drive. Although Travis wasn’t physically in attendance, the Foundation helped give away 1,000 turkeys and bags of canned goods at Worthing High School to families. United Memorial Medical Center also provided free COVID-19 guests to attendees.

The Foundation strives “to empower and enrich the lives of youth by providing access to education and creative resources to ensure long term success.” Scott launched the Foundation earlier this week, announcing a multi-year partnership with the city across Parks and Education as well as the Waymon Webster Scholarship which will cover costs of college tuition for young adults who are acing financial difficulty and who are affected by the pandemic.
La Flame has already informed fans the third edition of his Astroworld music festival would return in 2021 and according to Turner, the original theme park the festival is based on is still in the works of returning as well.
“I want you to know we haven’t forgotten about the theme park either,” Turner said. “We’re still focused on that, Astroworld 2.”
