Los Angeles, CA – Megan Thee Stallion was shot in both feet last month following an evening out with Tory Lanez and Kylie Jenner. The incident resulted in Lanez’s arrest for felony possession of a concealed weapon and a trip to the hospital for Megan. Shortly after the fiasco, rumors started to swirl online implicating the Canadian rapper as the triggerman. Subsequently, the Los Angeles Police Department began investigating his possible involvement.
According to a new report from TMZ, the Los Angeles County’s District Attorney Office is reviewing potential assault charges against Lanez, more specifically felony assault with a firearm.
The shooting allegedly took place in the chauffeur-driven SUV after an argument broke out inside. Once police arrived on the scene, they pulled Megan, Lanez and another woman out of the vehicle and had them lay on the ground as authorities searched the vehicle and attempted to make sense of what had just happened. They ultimately took Lanez into custody and drove Megan to the hospital where she underwent surgery to remove the bullets from her feet.
On Wednesday (August 19), Megan posted photos of her gruesome injuries to Instagram after she was accused of faking them. In the caption, she revealed her back was turned when the shots were fired. That particular detail was something she hadn’t disclosed before and could potentially complicate the D.A.’s ability to charge an alleged shooter.
“Lol what I have learned abt majority of the people on social media is y’all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads quicker than the truth, and y’all really be believing the shit YALL make up,” she captioned the since-deleted post. “I got hit at the back of my feet because when I got shot I was WALKING AWAY FACING THE BACK. why would I lie abt getting shot?”
