Dolores died suddenly and unexpectedly in a London hotel at the age 46, a statement from her publicist has confirmed.

Music by the Irish band has skyrocketed on Amazon’s list Movers & Shakers in the aftermath her passing.

The group’s latest album, Something Else, which they released last year soared to the top spot with a huge 913,350 percent surge in sales.

Dolores’s 2007 solo album Are You Listening? rose to the second spot, followers by the 2002 re-release the band’s 1993 record, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?

Meanwhile hitting the fourth and fifth spot on the Amazon album chart was The Cranberries albums To The Faithful Departed and Wake Up And Smell The Cfee.

The Cranberries massive hits Linger, Zombie, and Dreams also saw a resurgence on iTunes.

The statement announcing the singer’s sad death read: “The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries was in London for a short recording session.

“No further details are available at this time. Family members are devastated to hear the breaking news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time.”

While her publicist described her death as “sudden”, Metropolitan Police said her passing was being treated as “unexplained”.

In a tweet, her band members from The Cranberries shared their sadness at her death, writing: “We are devastated on the passing our friend Dolores. She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to have been part her life from 1989 when we started the Cranberries.
