Alfred Banks has joined forces with Tank and The Bangas member Albert Allenback to form a new duo called SaxKixAve.
Before their debut EP I Don’t Wear Suits drops on April 17, the two give listeners a preview of what’s to come with the lead single “Mr. Apricot” featuring Tarriona “Tank” Ball.
“Jumping in this group was amazing for me,” Banks tells RealStreetRadio. “Showing another side of myself while working with an incredible, progressive producer like Albert. This song is so fire, man. It’s so different. And to have Tank in the studio and want to jump on this song was just the icing on the cake.”
Allenback adds, “I’ve had this beat for a long time, kind of tucked away with the other misfits, and then I sent it to Alfred on a whim when he was looking to make a song for a video game company. He came in with words to the main melody and all these sections and crazy flows and I was floored like, ‘How did you write this to that?’”
