Beyonce fans have been disappointed that she hasn’t released any videos for her Renaissance album.

We may know why.

Beyonce secretly recorded a Renaissance visual album, similar to her 2016 Lemonade album and her 2020 Black is King project.

However, she found no takers when she shopped the album to studios and streamers earlier this year.

“I’m guessing the price and lack of replay value for the casual viewer,” a source told Above The Line. “Or maybe Beyoncé didn’t like how it turned out? I don’t know…”

Lemonade ended up on HBO and Black is King on Disney+.

Perhaps a content-hungry studio or streamer will reconsider passing on Renaissance if the writers’ strike continues to linger.

Or perhaps Beyonce’s team could try to do what Taylor Swift is doing with her Eras concert film: bypass the studios and go directly to the movie theater.  But that may be something only 2023 Taylor Swift can pull off.
