Nicki Minaj has faced her fair share of criticism for working with Tekashi 6ix9ine, who infamously testified against members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods in court. Amid the success of their collaborative single “TROLLZ,” Nicki took aim at her haters with a not so subtle message posted via Instagram on Friday (June 26)

“Hate is a weak emotion, a sign of failure,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself and 6ix9ine.

Nicki’s team-up with 6ix9ine has faced some blowback within the Hip Hop industry, such as King Von calling her a clout chaser, but “TROLLZ” has proven to be a hit. A large number of fans seem to have no concern about supporting 6ix9ine despite his snitch status since the track debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“TROLLZ” reached the top of the chart just one month after Nicki’s guest spot on Doja Cat’s “Say So” became the first No. 1 song of her career. Also, her 6ix9ine collab made her the first female rapper to debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100 since Lauryn Hill in 1998.

For 6ix9ine, “TROLLZ” is his first No. 1 song on the chart. The Nicki-assisted single achieved the feat by selling roughly 116,000 digital copies, earning 36 million U.S. streams and racking up 1.2 million radio airplay audience impressions.
