It looks like Nelly is going to be busting his acting chops once again. In a report by Variety, the Country Grammar rapper will be starring as rock n roll pioneer Chuck Berry in the upcoming Buddy Holly biopic.

Nelly will be joining Ruairi O’Connor, Colin Hanks and Diane Guerrero in the forthcoming Bruce Beresford-directed movie. The film titled Clear Lake tells the story of Holly and other famous musicians who gave birth to rock n roll in the midst of fighting for civil rights in America in the late 1950s.

Nelly is no stranger to the thespian life. His acting résumé includes several appearances on TV shows like CBS’s CSI: NY and BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood. He also starred in the 2014 film Reach Me but is remembered more for his role as Earl Megget in the 2005 remake of  football comedy The Longest Yard.

But before he resumes his acting career, the Saint Louis legend has some business to attend to on the dance floor. On Monday (November 16), Nelly stunned viewers after getting a handful of perfect scores for his performance with his dance partner Daniella Karagach on Dancing With The Stars.

Nelly will be heading to the final round, where he will be taking on MTV’s Catfish host Nev Schulman and his partner Jenna Johnson, and Kaitlyn Bristowe and her partner Artem Chigvintsev.
