New York rapper Nas‘ roots are deeper than Run-DMC and LL Cool J. The hip-hop veteran has credited the works music icons like Louis Armstrong and Sarah Vaughn for fueling his craft.

Nasty Nas went to Instagram Wednesday (February 7) with a salute to some the music industry’s most legendary entertainers.

A few days ago, New York rappers Uncle Murda and Busta Rhymes saluted Nas’ televised Kennedy Center PBS concert.

Hours before the show’s broadcast, Nas made sure to jump onto social media to get followers excited.

Last week, music producer DJ Khaled hinted at big things coming together with Nas and rap icon JAY-Z.
