A week after earning his second No. 1 album in Savage Mode II with 21 Savage, producer Metro Boomin is celebrating his debut album reaching an important milestone.

The St. Louis producer’s Not All Heroes Wear Capes debut crossed the platinum threshold according to the Recording Industry Association of America on Thursday (October 15). Naturally, he took to Twitter to show off his latest platinum plaque and possibly, the most important one he’s earned so far.

“My first album just went platinum and I wanna thank all the listeners and everybody involved,” Metro wrote on Twitter Friday (October 16). “This is not only a big win for me but for all producers worldwide.”

The 2018 project featured a loaded guest list with Gunna, Gucci Mane, Wizkid, Travis Scott, Swae Lee, Young Thug, Offset, Kodak Black, Drake and 21 all contributing. The album earned 99,000 equivalent album units upon its release in 2018, capping a prolific period for the producer, who had credits on Lil Wayne’s 2018 chart-topper, Tha Carter V.

The fortunes of Not All Heroes Wear Capes yielded two breakthrough singles including “Space Cadet” and “No Complaints” featuring Drake.

Metro currently has the No. 1 album in the country with 21 but it may not be No. 1 for long. Projections have it in a neck and neck race with Pop Smoke’s Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon for the No. 1 spot on this week’s Billboard 200 chart.
