Houston, TX – At Meek Mill’s Motivation Tour cease in Houston, Mayor Sylvester Turner formally dubbed February 24 “Meek Mill Day,” as a strategy to reward the rapper for his recent prison reform movements.

In the final month Meek Mill, JAY-Z, Robert Kraft, and others have been busy with CEO Van Jones’ REFORM Alliance, a coalition that goals to alter incarceration legal guidelines with a deal with probation and parole.

The honor comes simply days after Meek Mill additionally received public opinion votes in his Twitter beef with Michael Rapaport that positioned him as an all-time Philly rapper.

Meek Mill isn’t the primary rapper to be awarded with a vacation by Mayor Turner, as Houston native Travis Scott was given his own “Astroworld Day” when the second leg of his tour stopped in Houston February 13.

Meek Mill’s Motivation Tour continues Tuesday in Phoenix.
