21 Savage emerged as the unexpected voice of reason during Meek Mill and Akademiks’ Clubhouse dispute on Saturday (December 12).

As Akademiks screamed at the Roc Nation artist for calling him out on his often inflammatory social media activity, the British-born rapper attempted to quell the situation, pointing out there’s a different way to go about posting on Instagram.

“We all play some part in the way shit is nowadays ’cause we all the people that profit off of that,” 21 said in the leaked clip. “You just gotta start showing that you give a fuck and that you wanna change too, ’cause a nigga like me, I could rap what I rap about and never do nothing and just be like, ‘Man, I don’t give a fuck, whatever, whatever’ and just live my life.

“But I have a heart, bro. And at the end of the day, I know you got a heart ’cause I know you … let’s try to do shit better. We ain’t tellin’ you to stop posting beefs … you ain’t starting beefs, you just putting a light on beefs that don’t need a light put on ’em.”

After Meek was roasted on Twitter for what should’ve been a contained exchange, the Dream Chasers founder responded to not only the leak but also 21’s level head.

“I apologize if I cut anybody off I be having my heart in shit too much,” he tweeted late Saturday night. “If you was there you know it was a great start for communication in hip hop! The way 21 handled it inspired me and was a good highlight!”

Meek also said by recording the conversation, the Clubhouse app will soon be corrupted.

“We been on club house for months being personal with supporters… learning getting game… learning about women’s feelings … giving game..talking biz etc,” he added. “no recordings start to hit the internet until yesterday … certain shit just always ruin the ‘wave.’”

21’s mediation efforts during Ak and Meek’s argument were the only thing they could agree on. In the wee hours of Sunday (December 13), the former Everyday Struggle co-host fired off a tweet commending the Savage Mode II co-creator.

“21 savage one of the realest niggas in hip hop,” he wrote. “he can call a nigga on their bullshit but still fw then & accept them 4 what they r.. if anybody ever seen the convo we had .. we talked privately the same exact way. I appreciate a nigga being himself no matter who in the room.”
