Lloyd Banks evidently isn’t interested in any internet shenanigans. These days, rappers are often better known by their online antics rather than their actual music — and Banks clearly doesn’t want any part of it.

Two days after Rick Ross taunted Banks in one of his Instagram Stories, the former G-Unit affiliate has responded via Twitter.

“I’ll NEVER join the circus, so don’t expect it from me,” he wrote. “peace & love.”

Ross targeted Banks following his recent “In Da Club” lawsuit victory against 50 Cent. While speaking to his 11.4 million Instagram followers, Rozay insinuated Banks’ financial situation wasn’t looking too good.

“Banks, you still got some money?” he said. “Show us what you livin’ like. If you ain’t got no money, I’ll give you five grand for the Banks name. That might be one of my aliases — Dank Sinatra.”

Ross and 50 have a history of bad blood, which was exacerbated earlier this month after a judge upheld the lawsuit’s original ruling. In 2018, 50 sued Ross for poaching “In Da Club” for his 2015 mixtape Renzel Remixes, but a judge determined it was fair game since 50 didn’t actually own the track and the suit was dismissed.

The Power television mogul then filed an appeal in an attempt to collect $2 million in damages. But on August 22, it was reported New York City’s Second Circuit of Appeals upheld the ruling with a caveat. Shady Records/Aftermath can still choose to sue on 50’s behalf considering they own the song.

Nonetheless, Ross still considered it a monster victory and celebrated by rubbing it in 50’s face. As far as Banks is concerned, Ross can leave him out of it.
