It’s been a week since DMX died after suffering a heart attack one week earlier, and his first posthumous verse arrived on a song called “Been To War,” featuring Swizz Beatz and French Montana. The song appears in the second season of Epix’s Godfather of Harlem, and of course X goes in.

“I’ma march to the beat, got my own drummers/Let’s get it on baby, we can go to war all summer/I done been to jail, I done did numbers/I donе been to Hell, I done been under/Diffеrence between a boss and a runner/Whatever you thinkin’, no way, uh-huh, I’m doin’ what you gonna,” he spits.

How are you feeling the song and X’s verse?
