In November of 2022, Chicago rapper Lil Zay Osama was arrested in New York City after leaving his retro-fitted machine gun in his Uber after a trip from Manhattan to Queens.

He ended up getting charged by the feds, which is never good.

Yesterday, he pleaded guilty to possession of a machine gun in the Brooklyn Federal court.

The charge has a ten-year maximum.  But federal guidelines dictate 21 to 27 months with a plea.

“I knowingly possessed a firearm that was a machine gun in Queens County on Sept. 29, 2022,” the 26-year old said in court. “I know that it was wrong and against the law.”

Osama, who is facing separate weapons charges in Illinois, has been locked up in MDC Brooklyn since April after prosecutors argued he was a flight risk and a danger to the community.

There is no word yet on his sentencing date.
