King Von has posthumously earned his first Top 5 album on the Billboard 200 of his career in the first week of tracking since his death earlier this month. According to Billboard, Welcome To O’Block, Von’s EMPIRE debut, sold roughly 44,000 total album equivalent units in its second week on the chart to land at No. 5.

The project originally debuted at No. 13 with over 26,000 total album equivalent units sold on last week’s Billboard 200 and then received a posthumous 18,000-unit bump.

In addition to Welcome To O’ Block, Chart Data reports Von has two other albums on this week’s Billboard 200 with LeVon James clocking in at No. 39 and Grandson, Vol. 1 re-entering at No. 52.

Von was one of three men shot and killed during an altercation outside Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta on November 6. Law enforcement acted quickly and charged 22-year-old Timothy Leeks with Von’s murder while he sought treatment for injuries of his own at Grady Hospital.

Even though Quando Rondo’s crew was rumored to be involved, police say the rapper’s name has been cleared in the investigation and the case is closed.

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’ honored the fallen Chicago rhymer prior to their performance.

“Long live King Von,” 21 said. “The world lost a legend.”
