Kid Cudi’s acting career is venturing into the horror genre once again. The multi-platinum artist has been cast in director Ti West’s next horror film X, according to Deadline.

X will be West’s first horror film since 2013’s The Sacrament. Cudi has signed on to star alongside actress Mia Goth, who had a supporting role in the 2018 remake of the cult classic Suspiria.

Cudi previously showed off his acting chops in horror when he appeared in Shudder’s Creepshow, a television adaption of the 1982 anthology film, in 2019. He starred in the first season’s “Bad Wolf Down/The Finger” episode.

The casting of Cudi in X was announced just a few weeks after he secured a gig in a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep.

The Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping rapper is part of the cast for Netflix’s star-studded film Don’t Look Up, which also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett and Timothée Chalamet.

“Excited isnt even the word,” Cudi wrote on Instagram. “To be a part of this epic cast is unreal. And my first movie w my brother Timmy. God is good.”

Cudi’s most recent movie saw him appearing as himself in 2020’s Bill & Ted Face The Music. He’s also fresh off a stint in the HBO series We Are Who We Are, which aired the final episode of its first season on Monday (November 2).
