The Brockhampton frontman puts out an open call for beats from “up and coming” producers to furnish the group’s last album.

Kevin Abstract is taking an unconventional approach to sourcing the production for the supposedly final Brockhampton album.

Earlier this week, Abstract opened up his inbox to submissions from production-savvy followers (see below.) “[I] wanna give up and coming producers a chance cause we know how hard it gets out here to get ur work off the ground,” the group’s frontman wrote in an open call on Twitter, directing fans to an email address to shoot their shot. Abstract also asked fans which existing tracks they wanted to hear the group rework with a freestyle and a dedicated video treatment.

In March, Abstract announced the next Brockhampton project will conclude the group’s run with a seventh and final outing. Whatever’s on the horizon would mark the group’s second album of the year, following Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine, which arrived in April with appearances from Danny Brown, Charlie Wilson, JPEGMAFIA, A$AP Rocky and more. As for the Brockhampton leader’s solo work, Abstract has been teasing new music for months now, promising a follow-up to 2019’s Arizona Baby by the end of the year. And last month, he began the campaign with the release of the slowthai collaboration “SLUGGER” along with an accompanying visual.

Scroll on to see where you can send your beats for the final Brockhampton project. Hold tight to find out who made the cut.
