Given his wife and sister-in-laws’ multitude of claims to a multi-million empire through the beauty world, it could potentially be classified as “clockwork” news that Kanye West is starting his own cosmetic brand.
TMZ reported on Sunday (June 14) they obtained legal documentation proving Kanye recently filed to trademark a diverse offering of beauty, hair and skincare products for every gender.
This includes a laundry list of “makeup, false eyelashes, facial masks, nail polish, moisturizers, bath gels, body oils, shaving cream, hair care products, perfumes” — which will all assemble underneath a yet-announced “Yeezy” line.
Scented pine cones, aromatherapy pillows, toothpaste and deodorant are also said to round out the upcoming collection.
Kanye released a fragrance in 2013 titled Whatever It Takes but never fully promoted it for whatever reason.
Although he’s been musically quiet throughout 2020, Kanye recently allowed his actions to speak louder than his words have been in recent years.
Before being spotted marching in solidarity with Chicago-area Black Lives Matter protestors in the wake of George Floyd’s death, Ye donated $2 million to be dispersed between the family’s of Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery.
He also established a college fund for Floyd’s 6-year-old daughter.
