Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Verzuz series on Instagram Live have provided some relief for music lovers unable to attend live concerts during the coronavirus pandemic. From RZA versus DJ Premier to Erykah Badu versus Jill Scott, there’s been a little something for everyone.
Now, Juicy J wants part of the action. On Tuesday (June 30), the Three 6 Mafia OG fired off a tweet attempting to reel Dr. Dre into a potential head-to-head showdown — and he’s serious.
“I wanna do a Verzus battle wit Dr Dre no cappuccino,” he tweeted.

While some may have doubts about Juicy J’s ability to go up against a powerhouse like Dre, his extensive catalog speaks for itself.
In 2006, Three 6 Mafia became the first Hip Hop group to win an Academy Award when they walked way with an Oscar in the Best Original Song category for the track “It’s Hard Out Here For A Pimp” from the Hustle & Flow soundtrack.
By this time, the Memphis-bred group already had eight studio albums under their belt, including their 1995 debut Mystic Stylez and 2005’s Most Unknown Known. They also released four collaborative projects with various members of The Posse.
As a solo artist, Juicy J has released four studio albums, culminating with Rubba Band Business in 2017. He also has numerous mixtapes in his catalog such as 2017’s Highly Intoxicated and 2018’s Shutdafukup.
Production wise, he lent his skills to Outkast and UGK’s “Int’l Players Anthem” and is responsible for more current hits like Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer.”
Meanwhile, Dre’s career is full of unbelievable highlights. From the 1992 classic album The Chronic — which helped introduced Snoop Dogg — to his numerous hits with his protégé Eminem, Dre has earned his top at the proverbial top and then some.
Twitter wasn’t entirely convinced Juicy J would get stomped out by Dre either.

In my opinion @therealjuicyj and @drdre both have bangers and classics. I think when you get down to it. It's just personal preference. I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Both have contributed to the game with big moves and bigger hits!
