It’s safe to say Joe Budden isn’t having the best couple of weeks. Not long after his ex Tahiry Jose accused him of previous domestic violence, leaked audio of a conversation with his former fiancée Cyn Santana hit the internet and, again, paints the podcast host in an unflattering light.

Additionally, alleged court docs reportedly filed by Santana included a wild accusation about Budden playing with his dog’s genitalia. Subsequently, the former Slaughterhouse MC was a trending Twitter topic on Tuesday night (September 8) for not only the court docs but also because he jokingly confessed he played with his dog’s private parts during an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.

“Why do I always want to make the dog feel good by playing with their fucking privates?” he said. “They like that. That’s how I know he’s not a real animal lover. Anybody with a pet, c’mon, you did a little something down there to make your dog feel good.”

Naturally, Budden had something to say about it. On Tuesday afternoon, a fan tweeted, “Bro idk who you pissed off but the smear campaign crazy.” Always an MC at heart, Budden quoted a lyric from his 2015 single “Immortal.”

He wrote, “You can’t kill nothing that’s ready to die.” Although he didn’t expound on this thought, it seems it was Budden’s way of brushing off the controversy.

Earlier that day, he also responded to another fan who told him it wasn’t “looking good.”

He replied, “It’s illuminating out here, we don’t see it the same.”

While Budden didn’t directly address Santana’s allegations on Twitter, the former Love & Hip Hop: New York personality took it upon herself to offer some clarity into the situation via Instagram and made it clear co-parenting with Budden was her number one priority.

“Because the mental health of my son and my family is so important to me, if there is anything coming to disrupt my son’s peace, my peace, the father of my son’s peace, my family’s peace, I’m a lioness…this mother right here, I’m not the one,” she said. “During the time when I was going through what I was going through, probably one of my most vulnerable times.”

As for the person who leaked the audio, she explained, “I confided in someone I considered a sister, I confided in someone in my eyes that looked like someone that was genuinely trying to help me and my son, and just help me figure my life out. I was confused, I was lost, I was many things, whatever, that doesn’t matter I dealt with that.

“For my privacy to be completely violated for the privacy of my family, and to have my son in the middle of all of this, absolutely not. And to the bum ass bitch that leaked this, I’m not going to worry too much about you baby, you don’t move nothing over here.”

Listen to what she has to say below.
