A 2019 track from Jaden and Kid Cudi has made its way to the new Spider-Man game.
Sony held its PlayStation 5 gameplay event on Thursday (June 11), and announced the forthcoming arrival of Spider-Man: Miles Morales with an extended trailer. Featured in the clip is the hook from the pair’s collaboration “On My Own,” which originally lived on Jaden’s 2019 album, ERYS.
“Feelin’ just don’t stop it now, niggas tryna hate on us,” Cudi harmonizes on the track. “Ain’t worry ’bout a thang since I’m strong enough!”
The good news follows another recent win for Cudi, who earned his first-ever No. 1 song in May thanks to his collaboration with Travis Scott. The aptly-titled track “The Scotts” debuted on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the chart dated May 9, 2020, after Scott premiered the track during his Fortnite virtual concert the month prior.
The game appears to be widely based off the world of the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Wu-Tang: An American Saga star Shameik Moore assumed the lead role of Morales as the film went on to gross nearly $400 million at the box office and spawned the 8x platinum collaboration between Swae Lee and Post Malone, “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse).”
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is set to launch for PlayStation 5 in time for the 2020 holiday season. Check out the trailer above.
