The second single from the new J.Cole album gets a video treatment.

On Tuesday, J.Cole continued The Off-Season‘s rollout with the release of the “Applying Pressure” video. In the Scott Lazer-directed video, Cole takes a trip around New York City, where he catches the D-train line, meets up with Dave East, and hangs out at a local park. Stream the new video below.

Scott Lazer previously collaborated with Cole for the “ATM” and “Kevin’s Hart” videos from 2018’s KOD album. Lazer also provided creative direction for Dreamville signee J.I.D.’s performance on The Tonight Show alongside BJ the Chicago Kid and Thundercat, Ari Lennox’s Shea Butter Baby tour, and Cole’s 2018 BET Awards performance.

J.Cole is a few games into his career with the Basketball Africa League’s Rwanda Patriots. On Thursday, his squad will take on Ferroviàrio de Maputo at 3 PM Eastern Standard Time. The 36-year-old Cole has three games left on his contract with the Patriots. Patriots chief operations officer Haydee Ndayishimiye recently defended Cole’s signing in an interview with ESPN after fellow BAL player and former University of Maryland guard Terrell Stoglin called the situation “disrespectful.”

“Of course, someone as famous as him will bring a lot of attention, but one thing the BAL, Patriots BBC and his team have committed to do is to treat him like any other player,” she said. “He’s a great basketball player and wants to play the game like everyone else. We understand some other teams may feel this way [as Stoglin does], but we made a basketball decision first.”
