HipHopDX – This week was full of Hip Hop beef. First, Swizz Beatz called Drake a “pussy” after a collaboration between the OVO boss and Busta Rhymes leaked online. Also, Eminem received return-fire from Diddy’s REVOLT TV after he dissed the network in a newly-released version of a 2019 song.

Finally, YoungBoy Never Broke Again told J. Prince to “mind [his] fuckin’ business” after the Rap-A-Lot Records founder offered to help the 20-year-old following a break-in.

Swizz Beatz Calls Drake “Pussy” After Busta Rhymes Leak

Although his Verzuz series has been providing virtual entertainment over the past few months, this week Swizz Beatz made headlines for firing shots at Drake — and subsequently getting chewed out by the OVO camp.

On Sunday (June 21), Swizz called Drizzy a “pussy” after a collaboration between the Toronto rap star and Busta Rhymes leaked online.

“He’s not a bad kid, he’s a good kid. He started from different things, we made hit record together, it’s all love,” Swizz said of Drake during an Instagram Live session with Busta. “I just wanna play music. Because my filter is burnt. Because at the end of the day, n*ggas is pussy for real.”

Swizz later apologized for the slight, claiming he was “in the wrong energy.” However, on Instagram, OVO Head of Security Nessel “Chubbs” Beezer warned Swizz to keep that same energy the next time they cross paths.

Eminem Disses Joe Budden & Diddy’s REVOLT — Gets Response

Eminem found himself embroiled in a beef with Diddy‘s REVOLT TV this week after an alternative version of his and Conway the Machine‘s 2019 collaboration “Bang” surfaced online.

“Yeah, shout to Puffy Combs, but fuck REVOLT/Y’all are like a fucked up remote/Now I get it why our button’s broke/’Cause you pressing the heat but do nothing though/Especially when it comes to punch this throne,” Shady spits on the fiery track.

The Detroit native also went after Joe Budden, rapping, “Wasted tissue, tell this journalist stick to the stuff he know/Like always running, from Migos.”

The diss received responses from REVOLT, who tweeted a blunt “Fuck you too @eminem,” and Budden, who said he wasn’t offended by old verses.

Eminem later apologized to REVOLT, acknowledging that the surfaced diss was taking attention away from the much more important Black Lives Matter movement.

J. Prince & YoungBoy Never Broke Again Spar On Social Media

J. Prince and YoungBoy Never Broke Again sparred on social media this week, following a burglary at YoungBoy’s Houston home. Prince attempted to come to the 20-year-old’s rescue by recovering a few of the items that had been stolen — a gesture YoungBoy did not take kindly to.

“If you got something for me, I got plenty of n*ggas around me you can call. Don’t get on no internet and do nothin’ publicly…. None of that pussy ass shit,” he said on Instagram, also telling the Rap-A-Lot Records founder to “Mind ya fuckin’ business.”

Prince fired back by calling YoungBoy a “dumb boy,” which ended in him getting dragged on Twitter.

Lil Eazy-E Talks ‘Growing Up Hip Hop’ Drama & Why He Didn’t Cry At His Father’s Funeral

Speaking by phone with HipHopDX, the son of N.W.A. legend Eazy-E, Lil Eazy-E, reflected on his grief after losing his famous father at just 10 years old.

“I’ll let you know a little something of the funeral — I didn’t cry. You know what I mean? It was more shocking because you had these thousands of people around,” he revealed. “It’s like, ‘Whoa, what’s going on?’ It didn’t hit me until you get actually home and get your own privacy like, ‘Wow, my father’s gone.’”

Now a married father himself, Eazy-E also discussed his role on Growing Up Hip Hop and the fate of its current cast. Read his interview here.

After Making Millions From Music, Master P Drops Economic Jewels For The Younger Generation

Master P has a few thoughts to share about the corporate retirement of logos like Aunt Jemima, Uncle Ben and Mrs. Buttersworth, prompted by the current Black Lives Matter movement. While the discontinuation of these mascots was a good first step, the No Limit Records mogul says the next necessary move is supporting black-owned businesses.

“If we’re going to fight this injustice, it starts with economic empowerment,” he explained. “… For [Quaker Oats] to lose money to start over, that shows you that we’re coming a long way… we have to start buying our product so we can put money back into our communities.”

“We bought [products] from them not knowing who owned it, where it came from, and we turned those companies into multi-billion dollar businesses,” he continued. “So, I think it’s time that we educate ourselves. We could do the same thing. We could make a lot more African American billionaires.”

Shaq Vows To Destroy Gronk In DaBaby & Snoop Dogg-Assisted ‘Virtual Party’ Challenge

Shaquille “Shaq” O’Neal shared exclusive details to HipHopDX about his and 3x-Super Bowl Champion Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski‘s “virtual party” challenge, which features performances by DaBaby, Snoop Dogg and more, and raises money for The Boys and Girls Club and NAACP-led empowerment programs.

“I will keep the politics to the politicians, but I will say this — it has never been easier to stand up and voice whatever you believe in,” the 4x-NBA champion said. “Gronk and I believe this is our best time to put together a party for a purpose that will raise a significant amount of funds for the organizations who truly need it the most. I know I speak for both of us when I say we are proud to be a part of that.”
