According to Bleu, Gucci Mane wanted to link up with BMF.  Although Meech and the rest liked Gucci, they didn’t want to work with him because of his criminal tendencies.

“Meech knew him, he was cool,” Bleu said of Gucci.  “But Meech was telling n*ggas like, ‘Nah, man that n*gga be out there robbing n*ggas and sh*t, you feel me? We can’t handle n*ggas that’s known robbers getting down with the sh*t.’ It wasn’t just that he was no robber, but n*ggas know that he gon’ get down on a n*gga, you feel me? We just kind of wasn’t doing that at the time.”

Of course, clone Gucci would have no problem charming his way into a criminal street gang.
