After a long week waiting for the results of a tight presidential race, many people have been taking to the streets to celebrate President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris’ historic win on Saturday (November 7).

One of those people is French Montana, who has consistently made it loud and clear he doesn’t support Donald Trump or his controversial politics.

To celebrate his 36th birthday this week, French decided to commemorate his birthday alongside Biden and Harris’ win by getting a birthday cake with an image of the President-Elect and Vice President-Elect sitting atop a two-layered cake.

In a video posted to his Instagram account, French can be heard saying “legend” as he admires the decadent cake. He added in the captions, “NEW CHANGE IS BORN thank u for all the bday love #teamlifeafterlife #teamkamala.”

The results of the 2020 presidential election were important to millions people across the country, including French. In 2018, he spoke to TMZ about his thoughts on his friend Kanye West who was outwardly supporting Trump at the time.

“I love Kanye, man,” he said. “I guess he got an album coming out. That’s my big brother, you know? That’s family. I could never go against him but I just don’t respect somebody like [Trump] who deport so many people and hurt so many families.

French, who’s an immigrant himself coming to the United States at age 13 from Morocco, has reason to be so excited for the transfer of power in the White House. In 2018, he became the first rapper to be honored as a Global Citizen ambassador for his charity work in Uganda.

These days, he’s using his platform to advocate for education reform for children in conflict and crisis in countries all over the world. When it comes to foreign policy and immigration, French feels strongly and really believes Biden and Harris to turn things around.
