The aftermath of King Von’s recent murder has yielded plenty of responses, from grief to cynicism. Freddie Gibbs had another wish for individuals during the grief process — not sharing private messages for clout.
In a video shared to his Instagram Stories, Gibbs laid down what he considers to be law.
“Niggas corny as fuck man,” Gibbs said. “Don’t post my muthafuckin’ text messages after something happen to me, man. Matter of fact bitch, I hope I’m so muthafuckin’ old when I die, that y’all niggas ain’t even around to post me!”

Gibbs’ comments come after various women shared private conversations they had with Von over time. Von was shot and killed in Atlanta on November 6 following an alleged fight with a rival crew. He was 26 years old. A 22-year-old suspect, Timothy Leeks, has been arrested and charged with the Welcome To O Block rapper’s murder.
Numerous fans and friends of the slain Chicago rapper took to social media to pay their respects to him, including Asian Doll who mourned her former boyfriend on Twitter.
“I wanna die 2 shid it feel like I’m dead already,” she tweeted after the news of King Von’s death went public. “I’ll never be the same I just hope you visit me in all my dreams I just wanna sleep so I can picture us again I just wanna close my eyes & never open then again… Von I’m gone [broken heart emoji] … My heart is gone I’m just a empty soul in a human body I rather die then to feel this pain I CANT TAKE IT IM NOT STRONG ENOUGH VON.”
