Freddie Gibbs and Benny The Butcher headed south to Miami to bring the tropical vibes for “Frank Lucas.”

Gibbs and the Griselda rapper sip champagne as they ride through the South Florida waters in the clip, dropping bars full of drug references inspired by the late Harlem kingpin the song is named after. Gibbs also references his former labelhead Jeezy in his verse, who he called “musically irrelevant” earlier this year.

“Jeezy used to say, ‘Boy, you one rappin’ ass nigga,’” he raps. “I said I’m shippin’ packs, I don’t need no advance, nigga/Niggas thought I took a loss, but I jumped off, then I got richer/Shit is funny when you think about it.”

The irrelevancy comments came from an interview Gibbs did with Real 92.3’s Bootleg Kev in June. It wasn’t all negative, however, as he still referred to Jeezy as a legend.

“Jeezy is musically irrelevant,” he’d said. “Let’s be real, dog. Did you listen to his last album? No you fucking didn’t. He’s a legend but right now, you’re irrelevant. I love [Jeezy], but what you want to fight? You can’t fight me, out rap me. Any nigga that can’t out rap me or beat me up, I don’t give a fuck about.”

“Frank Lucas” lives on Gibbs’ surprise Alfredo album with The Alchemist, and follows his previous Rick Ross-assisted visual for “Scottie Beam.”
