MF DOOM was a part of the Grammys in memoriam portion of the show.

MF DOOM was honored at this year’s Grammys as a part of the award show’s in memoriam section. An image of the rapper was shown alongside other artists that passed in 2019 and 2020. A number of fans took to Twitter to share the tribute of the beloved MC.

Some fans also took note on how the Grammys didn’t spell DOOM’s name in all caps.

On the last day of last year, DOOM’s family announced that the he had passed just two months before.

“The greatest husband, father, teacher, student, business partner, lover and friend I could ever ask for,” DOOM’s wife, Jasmine, said in a caption alongside an image of the rapper wearing a New York Knicks jersey on Instagram. “Thank you for all the things you have shown, taught and given to me, our children and our family. Thank you for teaching me how to forgive beings and give another chance, not to be so quick to judge and write off. Thank you for showing how not to be afraid to love and be the best person I could ever be. My world will never be the same without you. Words will never express what you and Malachi mean to me, I love both and adore you always. May THE ALL continue to bless you, our family and the planet.”

If only the Grammys had honored DOOM with a tribute performance, but it’s still cool to see him highlighted — even if his name wasn’t in all caps.
