EXCLUSIVE – The coronavirus pandemic brought on a series of unexpected challenges in the music industry, but artists improvised in the comfort of their own homes in some instances to get creative with an array of innovative visuals this year. Vevo exclusively rolled out their top 10 most-watched Hip Hop videos list with HipHopDX on Thursday (December 17) as Future and Drake’s “Life Is Good” took the crown to no surprise.

The What a Time to Be Alive duo jampacked about five visuals into one blockbuster, which saw Drake put his acting ability on display in the clip helmed by Director X. The cinematic video earned over a billion views globally and notched 530 million views on the platform in the United States.

Even in a year where he didn’t release a studio album, Drake made another pair of appearances on the list. The 6 God took over the Nike headquarters in Oregon for the cameo-filled “Laugh Now Cry Later” video (94 million views) featuring Lil Durk, Marshawn Lynch, Odell Beckham Jr. and Kevin Durant, which is nominated for HipHopDX Video of the Year and came in at No. 4. Drizzy also had the whole country dancing for a couple of weeks with his viral “Toosie Slide” (66 million views).

After putting forth a banner 2020 campaign, Lil Baby found himself as Vevo’s most-watched artist in the U.S. and well-represented on this list with four appearances thanks to his multi-platinum My Turn sophomore album.  In addition to grabbing the No. 3 spot with “Woah,” (107 million views), his dynamic chemistry with 4PF signee 42 Dugg couldn’t be denied either, as “We Paid” (157 million views) and “Grace” (78 million views) both landed on the Vevo top 10 at No. 2 and No. 5.

Rounding out the second half, Moneybagg Yo’s paper-stacking “Me Vs Me” clocks in at No. 7 (61 million views). Lil Nas X connecting with the OG Nas for his “Rodeo” remix snuck in at No. 10 (50 million views), while Baby goes back-to-back at No. 8 and No. 9 with My Turn standouts “All In” (53 million views) and “Sum 2 Prove” (51 million views).
