When Snoop Dogg bought Death Row Records, he suggested he now owns Dr. Dre’s iconic album, The Chronic.

Dre’s lawyer fired right back at that.

“There are false reports out regarding ownership by Death Row of Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, attorney Howard King said. “Dr. Dre owns 100 percent of The Chronic.

The misunderstanding hasn’t seemed to affect Dre and Snoop’s relationship in the slightest.  They’ve appeared together many times since, and Snoop will soon drop an album that Dre produced.

The pair just did a live version of Drink Champ’s, and during the chat, Dre admitted he wasn’t down with Snoop buying Death Row at first, but now he’s come around.

“Let me tell you something, man. I was so upset when I heard that Snoop was doing the Death Row shit at the beginning. Like, ‘N*gga, that sh*t has so much bullshit following it,’”Dre said.  “But now, I’m so happy about it and so impressed at what my brother’s doing because he’s taken the thing that we created and brought it back to life. I see his vision now. I appreciate it and I’m proud of it.”

Upon hearing that, Snoop began to get emotional.
