Donald Trump has given NBA YoungBoy a full pardon.
YB has been free since April 26, when he got out of federal prison two months early after serving less than a year on two counts of third-degree felony identity fraud, two counts of third-degree felony forgery, and six counts of misdemeanor unlawful pharmacy conduct.
The pardon eliminates YB’s house arrest and probation and allows him to prepare for his tour, which starts in September.
He thanked Trump on social media.
“I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building — as a man, as a father, and as an artist,” he wrote. “This moment means a lot. It opens the door to a future I’ve worked hard for and I am fully prepared to step into this.”
According to DJ Akademiks, he is partially responsible for the pardon.
A year ago, Akademiks spoke to Donald Trump Jr. about why he believed Youngboy should be pardoned.
