DaBaby has often touted his Billion Dollar Baby Ent. label as one of the next big things in music. However, during the virtual Revolt Music Summit, the “ROCKSTAR” rapper claimed his South Coast Music Group labelmates are the artists next in line for superstardom.

“Toosii, he showed me,” DaBaby told his manager Arnold Taylor during a conversation highlighting their respective rises in the music industry. “I done told Toosii this cause, I know at the point where Toosii is now? I used to chime in with him on my own time just to remind him, ‘Aye stay in that mode that you’re in, or go even crazier.”

He continued, “I know who he was dealing with. We talking about … pandemic proof and all this other shit? We talking about Toosii. He just popped a brand new artist in the middle of the pandemic. He’s the hottest new artist in the world right now. He’s the hottest new emerging artist, for shit sure.”

At this year’s #RevoltSummit, #DaBaby cosigns #SCMG label mate #Toosii & says he is the hottest new emerging artist. Facts or Nah?

Toosii emerged with his Platinum Heart album in February 2020 and then teamed up with Summer Walker for the “Love Cycle” collaboration. In September, he kept up the momentum with the release of the Poetic Pain project, which is mostly a solo affair aside from Walker’s appearance.

The Baby On Baby artist has made a habit of touting his fellow SCMG brethren.

During an Instagram Live session earlier this month, DaBaby gave Blacc Zacc his proper flowers, calling the young South Carolina rapper his reason for wanting to get rich.

“Blacc Zacc been rich by the way,” he told fans. “He made me wanna get some money. He was rich before me.”
