Chance The Rapper evolved into a trending Twitter topic on Monday (July 13) after an early morning retweet sent the social media platform into a frenzy.

Only hours after fellow Chicago native Kanye West teased a new song called “Donda,” Lil Chano retweeted the clip and suggested ‘Ye would be a better option than Joe Biden in terms of replacing current POTUS Donald Trump.

“And yall out here tryna convince me to vote for Biden,” he wrote in the caption. “Smfh.”

Chance continued, “Are u more pro biden or anti ye and why? I get that you’ll want to reply that you’re just tryna ‘get trump out’ but in this hypothetical scenario where you’re replacing Trump, can someone explain why Joe Biden would be better??”

After stating many of the people commenting were “racist,” he added, “I finally got the answer now. I understand. Y’all trust Biden more than y’all trust Ye. I think I understand why, I just don’t feel the same way.”

As Twitter began to challenge Chance, he took advantage of his trending status.

“I didnt plan on trending today,” he wrote. “but I would like take this opportunity to say: with all these apologies and accountabilities going around the city of Chicago and the Chicago Police Dept should finally admit to and denounce the assassination of Fred Hampton.”

Chano then seemingly defended Ye from those not convinced he even has what it takes to run the country.

“I also always felt a way about people using the word ‘presidential,’” he said. “Like a nigga acting or not acting presidential. Was Andrew Jackson acting presidential??”

Kanye announced his intention to run in the 2020 presidential election on the Fourth Of July — despite not filling out any of the proper paperwork to actually make it a reality. In a conversation with Forbes, which was described as “four hours of rambling interviews,” he proclaimed he was running as part of “The Birthday Party” and disavowed his support for Trump.

Kanye West’s Presidential Run Reportedly A Bipolar Episode

Consequently, his family is reportedly worried he’s in the middle of a bipolar episode. Meanwhile, Twitter is outraged Chance would push Kanye as a candidate because he could not only split to vote and help re-elect Trump, but many believe he’s simply not mentally stable.
